This was supposed to be the year that New Zealand rider Ed "Eddy, Edward or Hey You" Masters was going to conquer the mountain bike genre known as enduro. It's long been dominated by riders from countries known for their love of cheese, surrendering, leather shorts, cow bells and boomerangs etc.
To dominate Ed adopted a strict, though unorthodox (and possibly illegal in some hemispheres) regime of training... and this is that story.
