Santa Cruz Jackal: Day Tripping

Is there a better way to explore somewhere new better than on a bike? Well possibly on a bus, especially one such as this, a 1949 GM 4101 Union Pacific Streamliner.

They were commissioned especially for the rail operator Union Pacific to transport passengers around the terminal. This is the remaining survivor of the 10 built.

Santa Cruz riders Josh Bryceland and Logan Peat make best use of the hard-tailed Jackal and the Streamliner exploring the region.

The Streamliner is still running it's original configuration, powered by a 2-stroke super-charged diesel matched to a Spicer 4-speed manual and styled like nothing else you'd see on the road today.

If you want some more information on the Streamliner buses, have a look here.
