Santa Cruz Launch New Solo Bike

The team at Santa Cruz have rolled out another significant announcement, the new Solo bike. Like the recently announced Bronson it'll be riding on 27.5" wheels, however it's not about the speed and burliness of endure riding, the Solo is focused on trail riding.. leaning very heavily toward back country riding.. so I guess that means it could be considered to be extreme all mountain! Or am I just getting carried away?

The Solo will be available in carbon and alloy frame options, and I think it looks very suited to riders who just want to get out and enjoy their time on the bike. You could chose to hit your local trails with an extended ride or head off to something more adventurous (if you have legal access kids!). Check out the video of Steve Peat riding a Solo through the wilds of Scotland.

Overall the focus is on a solid mix of travel, lightness (the carbon frame is just over 5 lbs) and manoeuvrability.
