New Scott Gambler Debut At South African DH World Cup

This set of images have been racing around the Internet via Scott's PR department.

The new Scott Gambler DH frame is a single-pivot design and seen here sporting a few prototype parts; including Schwalbe “First Ride” Hans Damph DH tires and Fox’s dropper post for the pedal-heavy first stop of the DH World Cup in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa.

My take on this is the new bike will be significantly lighter than the old Gambler WC10 model, much like the difference between the 2009 and 2010 Giant Glory. It's also a lot more svelte than many Scott models of late. There is no word of when it'll be in the shops, but a betting man might say October 2012.

If you look closely, you can see a Scott team rider, lurking in the tent behind the new bike, just which one?
