2015 Crankworx Les 2 Alps Downhill Highlights Loic Bruni

The iXS European DH Cup is traditionally seen as a feeder series for riders on their way up to the UCI World Cup. However, when round three of 2015's series was set to be hosted at Crankworx Les 2 Alpes, Europe's biggest bike festival, the entry list soon rocketed in profile.

Coming as it did between UCI World Cup rounds in Switzerland and Canada, the steep and dusty alpine track offered the big names an opportunity to stay race sharp whilst soaking up some of the atmosphere at the same time.

Despite having to swap a wheel at the top due to a puncture, Loïc Bruni, the king of qualifying at this year's UCI World Cup, took the win by an impressive 4.6s over Remi Thirion. His French compatriot, Myriam Nicole, made a triumphant return to the top step with a somewhat slimmer margin of victory of 0.028s over Tracey Hannah.
