2016 UCI World Cup Mountain Bike Schedule Announced

The UCI have announced where and when 2016’s World Cup mountain bike battles will take place. There will be six rounds for XCO and seven for DH with the World Championships being held in Val di Sole, Italy.

It’s worth noting, however, that there will be additional XCO action as part of the Rio 2016 Olympic games and the return to Australia before the 2017 World Championships, which will be held  again in Cairns, Queensland.

April 9-10: (DHI) Lourdes, France
April 23-24: (DHI/XCO) Cairns, Australia
May 21-22: (XCO) Albstadt, Germany
May 28-29: (XCO) La Bresse, France
June 4-5: (DHI) Fort William, Scotland
June 11-12: (DHI) Leogang, Austria
June 28-July 3: (XCO/XCE) UCI World Championships, Nové Mesto, Czech Republic
July 9-10: (DHI) Lenzerheide, Switzerland
August 6-7: (XCO/DHI) Mont-Sainte-Anne, Canada
August 20-21 (XCO) Olympic Games, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
September 3-4 (DHI) Vallnord, Andorra
September 6-11: (DHI/4X) UCI World Championships, Val di Sole, Italy

DHI = Downhill
XCO = Cross-country
XCE = Eliminator World Cup
4X = Four Cross
