Red Bull Rock Drop - Change Of Date & Guess Who Is Racing?

The Red Bull Rock Drop has been moved from December 4th to January 29th (to be confirmed 10th December) as a mark of respect due to the recent coal mining accident in the South Island.

Please make the changes in your diary, otherwise you'll look a bit of a numpty if you turn up next weekend.

The other news is that the 80 riders have been selected and announced and I'm quite shocked to confirm that I'm on that list! So some January 29th I'll be hitting the start line with UCI World Cup DH riders such as Cam Cole, Sam Blenkinsop, Brook MacDonald and Wyn Masters... wow! I found out via email on Thursday night and now the shock has worn off the reality has sunk in and I now have 63 days to get totally prepared, which includes fitness, sourcing some more suitable body armour and getting the bike tuned...  FUCK!

My question for the studio audience today is some ideas and help to secure some sponsorship to help out with the cost of upping my body armour and suitable race clothes for the day. I'm okay for full-face helmet and some basic armour for training. The budget I need to cover is roughly $750-$1,200, depending on where and what I can buy. Who can help me out?

What will the sponsor get in return? Naming rights on my racing shirt, naming rights on my entry in the race day program etc and potential coverage across anything Red Bull organise, an opportunity to brand my "pits" for the event and constant coverage on this blog and other communications I use, such as Facebook etc. They'll also get my gratitude as the body armour will not doubt mean my survival as I dive down the side of the Martha Mine in January.

This is a unique event and may not be repeated, so c'mon, please help me out.
